I want to give this 4.5 stars but I cant. Now, the reasons are very minor but I gave 5 stars instead of 4 for that reason. The pistol grip is not comfortable. I have big hands and it does do some minor rubbing and with the hard plastic, its just not that comfortable. The dust bin, when dealing with animal hair does scrape off most of the hair, In fact it will scrape all the hair off the center when emptying but hair can still get stuck and you have to reach in and pull it out. Again, very minor issue. More annoying then anything is the dock. It does not hold all the attachments so you will have to store some. I dont understand how they have been through many revisions and still dont modify the dock to hold all the accessories.Ok, now to real dirty world usage. All cleaning was using standard, I never used max.I have a neato that runs in my living room every day, usually twice a day. I have 1 sheltie mix, I have another sheltie/pomeranian mix and 2 cats so you can imagine I have a lot of hair im dealing with. The 2 dogs are still shedding and can dump a ton of hair on my living room rug in just a matter of a few hours and thats with constantly brushing them. My first test was going over the area rug that had been cleaned the evening before by my neato. Its a 10x12 area rug. I didnt even notice till I finished that the entire dirt bin was almost completely full. I went over the area rug 2 more times during the day and each time it still pulled hair up and was at max line both times. Mind you this area rug is short, its not a plush rug at all. Now, I get this from my neato to. when my dogs are shedding, it can take 4 times a day vacuuming to get it where you get almost no hair left.I purposely let my computer room go unvacuumed for 3 weeks. I wanted to give this a torture test that my hundred dollar upright dirtdevil vacuum would struggle with. Its a small room, maybe 8x6 area to be cleaned. Let me say this right now. It put my dirt devil to shame on the very first pass. My dirt devil which is only a little over a year old and very well maintained, can take 3-5 passes to clean up that hair on carpet thats been here since probably the 50s. I had to empty the bin 4 times while cleaning this room and it was top to bottom full of dog hair. Now, cleaning time for this room was probably only around 3-4 minutes but you also have to figure in the times I had to keep emptying it. With that said, I will say that the carpet turned out much nicer than when using the dirt devil and I thought the dirt devil did a good job, until now. Now here is the amazing part, My neato will have to have its brushes cleaned about every 2-3 days as they will be full. All that carpet cleaning with all that hair and when I was done, I had to pull like 4 strands that had wrapped around the brush. That was very exciting to see how clean it stayed,Funny thing is, I didnt so much buy this for the carpet cleaning, I actually bought this for the cat litter that keeps getting slung out by our cats onto the hardwood floor. My vacuum was useless on cat litter as it would just sling it everywhere. I have limited mobility due to a stroke several years ago so sweeping with a broom is a very difficult chore for me. The fluffy head power unit is an absolute godsend. It picked that litter up like it was nothing but some dust. All those videos I watched of the V6 and V8 are so true, The fluffy head works awesome. There is some downsides to it though. I had a couple stringy pieces of carpet that was on the floor and they didnt make it into the bin, they just wrapped around the fluffy roller. Not a huge deal but it did seem to do it consistently. My biggest worries with paying over $500 for a tick vacuum was that A) I must be stupid and B) 25 minutes of runtime with a powerhead on it? I must really be stupid! To my surprise, the combo of the suction and the powerhead makes vacuuming really quick. When I would do my living room area rug with my dirtdevil, I would go slowly and it could easily take me 10 minutes to go over it. With the V8. it takes about 3-4 minutes. It takes around the same to clean the computer room. It takes about 2 minutes to clean around the litter boxes and hallways, it takes about 2 minutes to do my kitchen. About 2 minutes for the bedroom and 2 minutes for the den. That leaves plenty of power left, around 13 more minutes, if I need to do a spot clean here and there after the dogs, It could easily take me 15 minutes to just do the 2 rooms with the big vac. You dont realize how much time you spend fighting the cord and trying to get it out of your way. No cord equals 100% cleaning time (Except emptying the bin) and that can really shorten the amount of time you need to clean.Overall, im very pleased with how it performs on both carpet and hard floors. It is very light and easy to maneuver for me and it is much easier to maintain then my upright. I dont have a clue on how durability is going to be, thats going to take time to find out. Let me also say this. I hate vacuuming, its why I bought a robot to begin with lol, but using the V8, it did not feel like a chore at all. No dragging and re positioning that cord every few passes, no weight at all, The V8 is only around 5lbs and its very maneuverable and easily carried. As for loudness, oh my goodness, it is quiet! compared to any of my vacuums, it is by far the quietest of them all. My dogs didnt even bark like they do when starting the upright.I still think im nuts for spending this much money on a vacuum cleaner but if this can last me for several years, it will be well worth the investment.Do I think this can replace a full upright vacuum? Yes I do and here is why. You will use this more often. Instead of waiting a week to drag out the big vacuum, you will grab this, run it for a couple minutes here and there and you will be done. You will end up doing this more often because its so convenient. I would put the V8 up there with the dishwasher. A must have for everyone who hates doing that exact chore. It just makes your life easier.

This is by far the best vacuum I have owned. It is lightweight, easy to empty, and actually picks everything up off of our hardwood floor thanks to the floor attachment. We have a small child and use it after every meal around the table, and the cordless feature is far more convenient than we imagined. The battery also lasts plenty long enough on one charge. The only downside is having to hold the power trigger down the whole time you are vacuuming. If you have to vacuum a large area, it eventually rubs your thumb raw.

We have used a V6 for several years and we were very pleased with its performance. The only issue we have with the V6 is its battery life. We received our V8 From a few days ago. I installed the charging unit and fully charged the V8. I used the V8 today and was very impressed. I was familiar with the V6 so I kept waiting for the battery to exhaust it's charge but it kept going. I was able to sweep at least three times more than the V6. We have a long haired German Shepard and had to empty the V8 three times. The way you empty the V8 sweeper is much better than the V6.If I was going to make a purchase for the first time and was debating between a V6 and a V8, I would definitely go with the V8.Probably because of the hepa filter, the V8 is significantly quieter than the V6.

In spite of the hefty price tag, this does pick up a lot of dirt and it's so easy to change the attachments. Most of my floors are regular carpet or hard flooring. With my shag carpet, I have to pull it toward me - can't push it away - but it's the same with my old plug-in vacuum.CON: There is NO comfort protection on the grip (i.e., silicone padding, finger grooves, etc..), so for those with softer hands, it will rub the webbing between your thumb and index finger if used for longer periods.

Despite having Prime for a decade, I have never written a review. Until now. This vacuum is so amazing that despite having had 5-ish hours of sleep the night before and a a busy work day, I actually enjoyed revving this up for the first time to vacuum the house. I was still in my work clothes and carrying a backpack over one shoulder because I was getting so into it.. It's like playing a carnival game or something, I swear. Probably has something to do with the convenient trigger button on the handle instead of a typical on/off switch.Used up about a quarter of a battery on the regular setting (40 min) to do a quick run of my home (1650 sq ft)I'm still in awe at how much gross gray stuff this picked up in the canister despite having vacuumed just a week before. Up until maybe 20 minutes ago I thought of myself as a relatively clean person--no shoes in the house, no pets, you could probably eat off of the floor. I sit at a table on the floor during dinner (don't mean to stereotype, but I am Asian). Now I don't know what to think, because my reality has been shattered and I now realize that my house has never truly been clean with this crappy 2000's era Kenmore canister vacuum from Sears. Honestly, I'm a little pissed right now because of how much I was missing out on without this vacuum. "oh no, this Kenmore is fine, what difference could this make? Vacuum is a vacuum, blah blah blah. Why get this when I could just do something else with the mon--" Shut up past self, you're not woke. This is like going from dial-up internet to fiber optic internet. I would know, because I had AOL (and I live in Alaska)Overall it's a pretty sweet vacuum. Lightweight, portable, relatively quiet vs other vacuums I have used, is very user-friendly, annnd isn't hideous to look at--it fits the bill, honestly. I just have two issues: first thing, is that I feel like a Ghostbuster when using this, but not having a backpack attachment to charge this while storing extra dirt is kind of buzzkill on that. Although, I can the backpack attachment kind of getting in the way of portability and comfort. The second thing is that you have to be careful with the dirt ejector. It would have been nice for the dirt to be funneled down when disposing of the gross gray stuff inhabiting your carpet, instead of splaying everywhere and having to vacuum that spot again because some dust escaped the trash. I can see the challenges of this, however, given the fact that it's dust and that's hard to wrangle. It does do a good job of compacting most of it in the canister prior to disposal, though. Maybe they'll come up with another ground-breaking way to dispose of the dust in a future model, who knows--I mean, this thing can pick up a 100 lbs. At least I know if a 100 lb burrito fell down every fell down a chute and I happened to be there with this vacuum in hand, I can count on this to get the job done (as long as it takes less than 7 minutes to get it out because of the runtime on the max power setting. This isn't a miracle worker, it's a vacuum--let's be realistic.)Good stuff.

I have been pleased with the performance of this V8 Absolute model up until now. At four months old, the direct-drive-cleanerhead ( for carpet floors) has died. I will now contact customer service and will post updates when a resolution is reached.Update 5-22-17: I contacted Helpline for telephone support (not the sales #), and after wading thru the automated answer tree, was promptly connected to a customer service person. She went thru a standard list of test this/test that and got to the point of agreement that the power head should be replaced. The order was entered while I was on the phone, it shipped the next day, and I received it four days later. All is well. They did not need the broken head returned.

Use it for my whole house. Does a great job. Perfect for pets and house w/majority hardwood floors. Great for city living. I have a 3200 sq ft home (between the bedrooms, ground floor, basement, and attic) and I clean all of the house (floors, baseboards, ceiling corners, blinds) before the power runs out. I also thoroughly vacuum my dog's 2 beds and sofas of dog hair and there's still some juice left! (I don't use it in max mode; rarely seem to need it). Takes me roughly an hour to do all the above.

This is the perfect vacuum for an older person - lightweight, easy to "dump the residue" and the charge can outlast my energy reserve. About the time I run out of charge, I have vacuumed a couple of rooms and I need a rest. The young folks in my home love this vacuum, too. Great suction. Fantastic for detailing a car. I will never buy another brand/style of vacuum. I have mostly tile and wood floors - very little carpet - but, it seems to work well on carpet. I no longer get tired just getting the vacuum out to start vacuuming!!! HUGE IMPROVEMENT in my home.

For someone who has a pet that sheds fur and hardwood floors this is the one you have been looking for. Does an excellent job on the low power setting and we have power to spare after doing 1400 sq ft of floor space and 18 wooden steps. Particularly nice for getting around and under furniture. For the low pile area carpets the carpet head attachment is very good. I wouldn't recommend it for extensive deep pile carpets. All parts change easily and dust bin empties with a tug on the top release. I worry about the plastic hinge on the waste bin door as a similar one on another bagless sweeper we have (not ) for the carpeted parts of the house has cracked and broken from use over several years. It swings open in a similar fashion. Finally, the light weight of this cordless vacuum is a blessing if you have hands that are not strong or if you have arthritis in your fingers. It is expensive, but worth the money if it is durable. We've used it for 3 months and are well pleased.

My floors are cleaner in less time with less effort!I'm a stay at home with boys, a dog and hardwoods which means I clean my floors everyday. The V8 is so light and easy to use.The hardwood rolling head is my go to attachment. As it's vacuuming it's also buffing my floor removing all those prints allowing me to mop less often. Regular speed cleans my floors easy with long battery life. High speed will suck the paint off the walls but only for 20 minutes. With this one tool I can do my floors, stairs, low under my furniture or high to my crown and all without being tethered to a plug. When I'm done simply pull the tab, empty the canister and hang it back up. Once a month I wash my filter out and let it air dry for 24 hours. With all that saidI had serious reservations spending that much money on another vacuum since I already own a traditional vacuum.I am so glad I did.Truly worth every penny and HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone with hard surface flooring.

I will admit to typically procrastinating about vacuuming because it just seemed like such a chore to go drag out my canister vacuum to clean our wood floors. Not anymore! When I got my new charged and ready, I had just vacuumed with my old Miele canister a few hours prior but decided to try it out anyway. I was able to easily fill the canister of the despite a visibly clean floor! I have noticed a significant decrease in my dust allergy symptoms from using this vacuum for a good thorough cleaning about twice a week in our very busy household. Because it is so lightweight to grab and use I find myself using it to dust or give things a quick clean as I see them. We have a 2.5 story 2400sqft home, and I can typically get the entire place done on one charge. I really love the hard floor head, it literally seems to buff the dust off meaning way less mopping required. That attachment works great on low pile rugs. I'm glad I splurged on this model as I really like all the included tools, and the battery life and suction are great. The max mode is insanely powerful. My house is so much cleaner with what feels like less effort because I can grab such an easy tool to tote up and down our levels in our house. I will never own another bulky canister vac, I'm sold on the cordless.

I have had this about a week and I'm absolutely loving it! We recently ripped out all of our nasty old wall-to-wall carpeting and put in wide plank hardwood. I love my new floors, but with two shedding kitties, dust bunny fur balls tend to accumulate quickly and boy do they stand out against dark stained flooring. My old upright vacuum with the beater brush that was necessary for carpeting isn't so great for hardwood. Plus it was a clunky pain to get out of the closet and drag from room to room. I researched my options and the V8 seemed like the way to go, although I did balk a little because the price seems pretty steep. However, now that I have it, I can't imagine going back to the upright. It picks up dust and fur with no problem, slides under the furniture nicely, and is really easy to use for quick touch ups. It is too early to see how it holds up long term, but for the price it better last a good long time - if not, I'll be back to change my review and deduct stars!
David
It does a great job and exceeded my expectations, but should have designed it so that the battery is replaceable. That way, when the one on the vacuum is running low it could be swapped out for another battery that is fully charged, just like the cordless tool manufacturers have been doing for quite some time now. I think they should have designed it that way even if it meant sacrificing battery life by another minute or two.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I owned an older model that I bought over 5 years ago that was starting to have problems. I really debated between this one and the less expensive V6 model...VERY glad I took the plunge. This baby is very powerful. It does such a good job that I now only use my big shark vacuum for the rugs about once a week. You won't be disappointed with its performance. I have one complaint though and that is they give you great attachments, all of which I have used, but no storage caddy for storing them on the wall for easy access. My hubby is very good at woodworking and made me a storage caddy for the remaining parts that won't fit on the plastic one that comes with the unit. I will take a pic and upload it later

I love, love my new . It came when it was promised and there was no assembly. It is very lightweight and easy to use but very powerful. I would recommend this to everyone who wants an exceptional cleaner

This is an initial review based on a week of use - so can't comment on longevity of the machine. So far, WE LOVE IT! So much that we bought a second one right away.I hate to vacuum, my husband loves it. But this machine almost makes me enjoy it.We have a central vac in one house and a regular upright in another - and we were surprised how much more this one picks up. We have two dogs, one sheds a lot. We could make a new dog with the amount of hair the picks up.The Pros --- Lightweight and quiet, quieter than a hair dryer-- Easy to attach/detach the various attachments-- Battery lasts long enough to do a 2500+ square foot house (we do the rugs first with the rug head and then the floors with the floor head)-- Attachments make it easy to use for things like blinds and baseboards; also furniture-- Super easy to dump - just hold over garbage can and press button-- We bought both the floor and carpet head - worth the extra $ over the regular V8-- Some said they didn't like the fact you have to hold down a trigger to keep it on - it's super easy to press and it avoids leaving on the machine when you don't need it-- Easy to use stand for plugging it in and keeping it chargedThe Cons - all are minor ---- Wish the stand had room for all the attachments - it only holds 2 plus the machine so you have to store the others elsewhere-- Wish it had a battery you could swap easily -so if one runs out, another is ready (although we've vacuumed a 2500 square foot house on low/regular suction without running out)-- The cost (but if you can afford it, buy it)

I purchased this vacuum from the official website. Originally I had a 20 dollar Dirt Devil that barely picked up any dust, so you can imagine how big of a surprise and upgrade I was in for. The vacuum is approx. 6 pounds in the hand and cordless, with a charge up to 40 minutes on normal and 7 minutes on max. Normal power is all that you really need, I have tried max and it seemed unnecessary because I did not have any spots uncleaned by the normal power anyway. The vacuum comes with 6 attachments, 2 of which are the main ones I use: the soft roller and the carpet roller; and the other 4 are mini attachments great for cleaning the car or other things. The dust bin is easy to empty and was actually improved based on the feedback received on the V6, on the V6 only the hatch on the bottom opened and the cyclone body did not move, but only the V8 the cyclone body has to go upwards for it to open, freeing trapped dust. The docking station is convenient, it is a good storage tool, I can pull the vacuum out when I need it and put it back on when I am done.

Works quite well. Much better than my previous brand but with some limitations.Could not vacuum the dog hair from my truck with one charge, needed an extra 5 minutes of charge that wasn't there. Can't clean my entire house (2200 sqft) in one go. I don't actually mind, I bought it to do my stairs, and vehicles so the previous statement is the real annoyance. The caddy/ dock that comes with it is not able to hold all the attachments. As one user described, rubs my skin off of my thumb. This was solved by placing a piece of moleskin on the problem area of the device.other than those gripes, the product is well buil, has a lot of suction and I love the Hardwood tool. The product is about 90% of what it should be. It makes the Shark brand look like a joke, and beats my bissle upright on carpets.

I've used this vacuum for a few months now and I LOVE it! I told my husband this is the third best thing ever happened to me (after marrying him and having my son) and I'm not entirely joking. Vacuuming was such a pain in the past but now I can walk around the house with this vacuum and be done with vacuuming in a very short time. It's powerful enough that the regular mode can handle most of the cleaning and I rarely use the max mode.We have three dogs and two of them shed like snowing. I used to use wet paper towels to wipe everything (which was the most effective way at the time) but it's super time consuming. Now I just put out this vacuum, pick up the head I want to use, and wherever I cleaned is fur free in 5 minutes. Then we had our son, and like other toddlers, he likes to throw food on the floor and knock over things in the kitchen. When that happens, I can just grab the vaccume and clean it up real quick without worrying about pluging the it or whether the cord is long enough. Also, one of the heads is great to clean our baby grand piano. I always worry about using a cloth would scratch it; using a vacuum is a lot more gentle and convenient. It's also convenient to clean the interior of the car when you don't have time to go to the car wash. This is random but when you see a moth on the ceiling of your kitchen or a spider at a corner of your pantry, either you can't reach it or you don't want to touch it, this vacuum will do the work for you. ;)

Pros:- dust bin emptying mechanism vastly improved over earlier versions- selecting MAX suction also improved over earlier versions- strong battery life- included attachments allow you to select the best tool for stairs, carpets, wood floors, upholstery, surface dusting, and even pesky ceiling cobwebs- quieter than previous versions- you'll be in constant disbelief at how much dirt/dust this thing picks upCons:- dust bin is tiny- changing out attachments is clunky- pricey!Great choice for apartments and smaller homes, especially those with a variety of different floor surfaces. has clearly listened to customer feedback and improved measurably on previous versions, with a vastly improved dust bin emptying system, easier MAX suction engagement, better included attachment assortment, improved battery life, and reduced noise. You can keep a couple attachments clipped to the charging station, but you'll need to find a place to store the rest; and of course, the small unit size means none of the attachments clip on-board, leading to constant trips to wherever you decide to store the attachments. Price is high, so watch for those Prime Day deals!

I have a dog that sheds like crazy. I love this vacuum for picking up the dog hair. It is light weight and works well on my laminate floors as well as carpet. With the attachment for hard surfaces that uses less power I can clean my entire living room, dining room and kitchen and still have enough battery left to clean the carpet on the stairs and a good portion of my other carpeted areas using the attachment made for that before needing to recharge. The way the brush attachment swivels also allows enough clearance for me to vacuum under my sofa without moving it.The small attachments are great for vacuuming hair off the sofa other smaller areas. It also works great for cleaning the inside of my car. The max suction setting works very well for pet hair that tends to get into corners and other areas of carpet. However, that does drop battery time by a significant amount. After buying this I almost never use my full sized corded vacuum anymore.Pros:- Lightweight and easy to maneuver- Attachments work well for cleaning a variety of surfaces.- Max suction setting picks up hair and other items stuck in carpet- The soft roller attachment does well on hard surfaces and extends run time.- Easy to empty and clean- Battery lasts long enough for a significant amount of cleaning.Cons:- The receptacle is a bit small and has to be emptied often when dealing with pet hair. But I suppose that is a trade off for its light weight.- It takes a long time to fully recharge from a completely empty battery, around 6 hours.- Price, of course this is a very expensive cordless. However, I have tried cheaper cordless vacs and none worked near as well as this.

I watched videos, read reviews, and anything else you could do to research this product vs. all the other products in the lineup. There's nothing I like less than wasting $500. Except wasting more. Luckily, this was no waste.I live in a small apartment in Manhattan. Two of my four walls are exposed brick with zero power outlets + one of the finished walls has no outlets = I have 3 outlets on one wall outside of the bathroom with any outlets = vacuuming with a cord sucks (no pun intended). I was worried because I read reviews about low battery life on Max suction (~5 min) vs. 40 min on low. I have hardwood floors with a big 8x12 cowhide rug in the middle of my floor. The carpet/rug attachment works wonderfully on low, and when I put it on Max, it won't even roll because it's sucking so hard. So the battery worry is fully gone. I've never had it die on me, but again, I have a small 700 sq.ft. apartment. I have a black and white cat, so there is visible hair on every surface of everything. This vacuum has made my life sooooo much easier. I had a 1 gal. shop vac with a hose that took me about 15 minutes just to clean my rug on my hands and knees. Now it takes me about 60 seconds. The attachments all quick-connect and disconnect super easily, quickly, and intuitively. While it comes with attachments that fit all situations, I find myself only using the long anteater-nose-like attachment, and the rug attachment. The wall mount is great and keeps it charged at all times. It's also super quiet. My cat doesn't even move when I'm vacuuming around his chair. One under appreciated quality - the handle and trigger are positioned closer to the center of gravity, rather than the very back, such that when you're holding it, you don't feel like you have a weight if your hand, pulling your arm down, but rather, like iron man, with an extension of your arm. It would be really easy for this to feel in your hand like a weed whacker that tires you out quickly. Not so! I think this is a great design element. And it's the longest review I've written because it deserves it.

My originally Ordered did not arrive . quickly replaced my Order . I really like this Vacuum Cleaner . Extremely Lite . Very easy to use on Carpeted and Hard Surfaces, as well as Furniture . We have 2 Cats and this Unit picked up All the Hair . I can get to and reach places I could not reach with a regular Vacuum Cleaner . All the Accessories Attach and Detached very easy . The Hepa Filter is Great . Extremely easy to empty when Full . The Unit Battery has never been completely Discharged after using on a 3400 sq.ft. home . Now I wished I had Ordered the Absolute 10 . Which is the newest Model . The is so easy to use that I actually Vacuum almost Daily now . Highly Recommended.

So I bought this V8 for cleaning dead flies out of lights in an office building. I didn't want to carry a heavy vacuum up and down a ladder. Usually, I would not waste money on a residential grade vacuum for any reason but this. I have had this vacuum for two years and my crew has been using it for all the detailing in tight areas and more. I have told them not to overuse it. Let's just say they have overused it!! More than any regular homeowner could in there lifetime.+ Lightweight+ Good suction+ Durability for home use.+/- Battery life is as advertised, but if you overuse it in a commercial application you get one year of everyday use. I was impressed. If they had a removable battery charging system it would be a 4.5-star grade. sent me a replacement battery for free because it was under warranty still.Let's be honest, is legit! This is the first one I have purchased it my life and not for personal use in a house. I did not even spend my money on it. I am going to buy the new V10 series because it looks beefier for what I need.

I'm a pretty die-hard broom and dust pan fan. I love sweeping - and with three active kids under the age of 8, I have been doing a lot of sweeping. My parents bought the V7 Animal, and when we visited them, my kids loved to use it. My dad said we should get one. My mother-in-law asked us to get one. I was skeptical. But I've been converted. I use our V8 Absolute just about every day. Beach sand tracked in? No problem. Food crumbs in the kitchen and under the table? Got it. Living room rug looking a little icky? Done and done.We went with the Absolute (vs. the Animal) because of the soft roller head attachment. Really good idea. If you have mostly hard-surface floors, get this. The other direct drive head will work, but it's not as effective. V8 vs. V7 is really a difference of only 10 minutes of battery life, and we've tended to only run the vacuum only about 20 minutes at time. Here's what I like:- Easy to grab and do a quick clean.- No bending over to use a dust pan (see my headline).- Kids can easily use this. (But I strongly encourage supervision. Ahem.)- Quiet. I can run this during naps or after bedtime with no problem.- The direct drive head works really well on rugs, and our small area rugs don't tend to get sucked up into the vacuum as much.- So much easier on stairs. Between the lighter weight and portability and the ability of the roller head to suck up dirt up to its very edges, it is much easier to use on stairs.Things to Consider:- Make sure you have a place to hang up the charging station. You'll need at least 1.5 ft. W x 4 ft. H to fit it comfortably, and it needs to be near an outlet. The plug head sticks out from the wall a couple inches. You'll also want a place to store the other heads nearby.- I haven't confirmed this yet, but buying off of MIGHT make it ineligible for the warranty. I'm not sure if is a registered dealer, but if you're buying it for super cheap, it might not be covered.- This vacuum works really great for everyday use, but it won't sustain deep-suction cleaning for very long. We have old wood floors with wide cracks between the boards. On its regular setting (not the max), the stick vacuum won't suck all the crud out from those cracks like my canister vacuum will. I also wouldn't use the stick vacuum for thoroughly cleaning our car. That being said, the soft roller cleaner does a better job of getting the wood surfaces cleaner.

Are you a slightly neurotic, ok obsessive, cleaner? Then this is your cleaning soulmate. I am obsessed with this thing. Yes the first day your thumb gets a little raw from holding it down. I don't know why they can't fix this. But you figure out how to hold it down without it rubbing your finger. And after that, the magic happens. You see that canister fill with dirt (or in my case, dirt and dog hair) and you feel like all is right with the world.I always use the "Turbo" mode and it doesn't last that long (maybe 30 minutes?) which they should also fix, but the performance is so fantastic I just deal with it.

PLEASE NOTE, Contrary to 's recommended bought together suggestion, after contacting , there are no attachments for sale for the V8 model other than what comes in the box. The older attachments will not attach to the newer V8 model and until comes out with an adapter (if they ever choose to), so all the folks buying the recommended add ons, like me, will also be requesting return packing slips.

This was worth every penny. I have two prior models that I purchased when we had carpets. Since they were great vacuums, I felt that I would be wasting money buying another one. Until I tried vacuuming our not so new anymore wooden floors. I Also tried using the extension wand on one of the old s to reach a spider wed in the ceiling, and had to wrestle it to let go of the rubber hose so that I could reach. On the spot I opted for listening to my wife who had mentioned that we needed a "new" vacuum. Of course, my reply had been, but we have not one but two perfectly good vacuums. OMG, what a difference. I have been soooo motivated to vacuum the house since we received this new one. It can easily get under the bed, something the other two couldn't do. I can easily lifted to reach the ceiling and top of furniture. Have tried it in the car. I would absolutely recommend this vacuum, EXCEPT if you have carpets. Even then, only if you have a large home with carpets. I imagine that this would do for a small apt., or home with carpets, but would be not match for my older s because of the weight difference and the 7 minute limitation when using the high power to do the carpets. Anyway, even though we no longer have carpets, have decided to keep the larger , and this one. In addition, I bought another cord free, for my kids, who now wanted to use this new one on their cars. I said, no one touches my new V8. There are some minor differences, with this coming on top of the cheaper cord free, but in my eyes not enough to justify the cost, IF you are on a tight budget. But, if you like the best, this is the way to go.

We are in the midst of a remodel and our primary (plugin) vacuum cleaner was hanging out at our son's home. So, to combat the endless dust and upgrade or remaining nearly useless vacuum we did our homework. Consumer Reports highly recommended this unit, and one of our friends one as well.I've got to say that this unit works VERY well. What is most amazing about it is how much dust and dirt it will gobble up without putting any of it back into the air. With our other vacuums when you used them you could "smell" them because the filters just didn't take out all the junk they were picking up. I even did the "unthinkable" and scooted our heavy sleigh bed out enough to get this unit back there. The dust there was inches think (ok, millimeters thick) and the unit was able to snarf up almost a full "bucket" of allergens without redistributing it into the air. It's easy to empty and clean, too. Just be careful to actually have the bin over the trash when you pull the red "ejection" button. This unit does have two flaws, IMHO, both minor.First: The method of attaching the unit to the charger bracket is not well thought out. To be fair, we haven't hung it up on a wall anywhere because as yet we have no place to hang it, but the combination of maneuvers required to get it to mate with the charger bracket is silly. As a result, we just don't use the bracket and merely plug the charger directly into the motor when we finish with our daily hard floor dust cleanup.Second: It's got quite a few attachments, and no way to hang/store them neatly. The wall bracket can accommodate perhaps one of the attachments... but the others will need to find a shelf, drawer or somewhere else to live. It also means you'll have to store the extension tube if you're not using it (e.g. when vacuuming upholstery). A little more design would have provided a way to nest the items together and hang them so they are all easy to get to.Our unit came with two brushes, a "pointy nozzle", an extension tube, a narrow brush unit and a wide brush unit. The two brush units have built in beater bars. I think the smaller one is intended for use on upholstery. Unfortunately the upholstery brush unit is harder to disassemble to remove wound-up hair or string.I saw that someone complained about the battery not lasting very long. Seems fine to me. May not clean every floor of your Beverly Hill Mansion, but it does the job pretty well in our modestly sized home without needing a recharge. Of course that may also be because we seldom need to use the "high suction" mode which halves the run time. It sucks really well even in the low/default suction setting.Bottom line is our house would be unlivable due to the daily sawdust and drywall dust without this unit (and two HEPA air purifiers).I was also surprised when the unit went into "on-off" mode. It sucks, stops, starts sucking again. I thought perhaps that was an indication that the battery was dying, but discovered that the unit does that when it is clogged/blocked. In one case it had sucked up a wad of insulation. I don't recall seeing that in the scant manual anywhere, but perhaps I missed it.About the weight... it's not all that light! You will notice after a while of using it. It's close to 9 pounds, i.e. the weight of a bowling ball and since it doesn't ride around on it's own wheels, you're the one providing the support. But boy-o-boy is it so much more effective than those "dust buster" vacuums of the past.IN SUMMARY:Great unit. Would highly recommend.

The soft roller attachment is great for our Mannington Audra Max luxury vinyl plank floors and it does not scratch or leave scuff marks like our older animal model did because it began to suck down very hard. It picks up dirt and debris very well, but also picks up dust and lent leaving a nice clean floor after a quick clean or before mopping. Do not try and pickup larger items with this attachment though. I don't think it's designed for that. Just pick them up my hand and then use vacuum. It's not a big deal. The traditional roller attachment with spinning bristles is great for carpets and gets the job done. This attachment will pickup larger items. Attachments are quick and easy to change and either one will work well on tile. The smaller attachment for furniture is similar to the attachment with bristles and works very well. I wish the battery life was better, but I have no problem vacuuming my 4 bedroom 2 bathroom 2000 sqft home on one charge. It is not a big deal to me that you have to hold down the trigger constantly while you use this vacuum like other users mentioned. In fact, it makes it easy to stop and start when you want to. I would give it 5 stars if the battery life was better, but I purchased this V8 at $359 and didn't think 20 more minutes of battery life with the V10 was worth paying an additional $150-$200. I was right because the V8 does all I need it to do. I would think that you could vacuum a 3000 sqft home or larger with this vacuum. I would definitely recommend this product and purchase it again.

We gave the 2 year old a bag of sunflower seeds and the 4 year old vacuumed up the mess!! It picked up all the seeds in the first run WITHOUT throwing them all over the place!!!Why I chose THIS vacuum: I'm an OCD Momma of two kids and my house constantly has snacks dropped alllllll over the floor. I wanted cleaning to be EASY AND FAST ie I want cordless. I want it lightweight enough that I can put my four year old eager son to work! He's always begging to vacuum and our regular Shark vacuum is too cumbersome for him to actually be helpful and get anything actually cleaned. It's more of a hassle for me to let him "help me vacuum". I was worried about this Absolute having a trigger on button that has to be held down the entire time your vacuuming....can my four year old squeeze the on trigger button the entire time while vacuuming?! YES!!!!!!! It's not hard for him at all!!! It's not hard for me at all either!! I read other reviews on other cordless vacuums of people saying their finger would go numb having to hold it down so long. Not the case with this one! I love that if I need to move a chair, then I let go of the on trigger and it saves battery. I have a small 3 bedroom houseall hardwood floors with area rugs in every room. I VACUUMED THE ENTIRE HOUSE IN FIFTEEN MINUTES & still had 2/3 battery left!!! I simply started with the deep roller brush and vacuumed all the rugs then popped the softer brush on and did all of the hardwood and tile floors. (I had vacuumed the day before this vacuum came in but I just had to try this new one out.) The trash bin filled up ENTIRELY!!! I had no idea my awesome Shark Navigator had left that much dust behind?! Oh the horror! ???? I have always loved my Shark! I may not ever actually "sweep" again! ???????? Just BUT IT!!!!!!! I love how the wall holder can have the charger cord built into it so when I pop this bad boy on the wall unit....it CHARGES automatically!! It will always have a full charge and I won't have to go digging in a drawer to find the cord.Last week I bought the $99 Diek vacuum that looks like this ...a knock off. I really didn't want to spend the money on a so I tried the cheap one first. It was AWFUL! It didn't pick up anything. I would go over and over the same crumbs like 4x before it would suck it up. After vacuuming the cow hide rug with the $99 Diek I could still feel the grit under my bare feet even though the visible crumbs were finally picked up. Returned it and bought the . I think this is the second review I've ever written in my life. Tired worn out Momma's just do it! Take the plunge! Buy the ! You will be SO HAPPY YOU DID! XO

Very convenient to use. It doesn't suck dust out of the carpet as well as my Miele, but it's so much more convenient because of the smaller size and weight that that I find myself using it a lot more. I'll use this one just about daily and only pull out the big vacuum once a month or so to get any dust that this one missed. The hardwood attachment is great because it pulls things into the vacuum and gives much better results than suction-only vacuums I've tried. It's super versatile, allowing me to vacuum small spaces where I couldn't before. It makes vacuuming the stairs a breeze. I used to only vacuum them once or twice a year because it's such a pain with a full-size vacuum that weights 30-40 pounds. With the I connect the carpet attachment straight to the motor unit (no pipe) and do the stairs in one or two minutes. It's also great for cleaning the car because the carpet attachment gets out way more stuff than suction alone. I used to use a hand-vac which is pretty powerful, but the fibers in my cars' carpet were too tights and would never really get clean. The beater attachment on the V8 does a great job cleaning them.

Buy the Absolute if you need all the attachments and especially a solid surface brush however, the V8 works great. The dustbin is decent size and doesn't get clogged with 3 labs on solid surfaces. Cleans up small messes with ease and could probably replace a standard cheap vacuum for a tiny house, small apartment, or house.I purchased the Tineco V10 and the V8 is still better. You really just can't beat a . I know they are more expensive then the other products but they are better overall.Negatives, one batters and not option or interchangeable batter to extend life like the Teneco V10.Limited life on max power.Positives, better dust bin that doesn't clog.Better suction over all.Still does good on min. level and last considerably longer.

Well I have this vacuum for quite a while and what a difference does this one make. The first couple of times the canister was full with debris. I replaced this one with an highly rated vacuum by CR. Now months further dusting is less often needed. This vacuum sucks it all up so it does not show later on your furniture. And with maximum boost you will get every dust particle on your floor. Not cheap but am I happy I bought this one.Highly recommended.

First off, I've only had my vacuum a few weeks but it is as advertised. Great vacuum (so far), excellent suction, and more than sufficient battery life for my 1k sq. foot loft. That being said, the customer service is one of the worst that I have ever experienced. If you think a foreign call center is tough to deal with, try calling in and wondering whether you'll encounter, after a 15 min hold time, a temporary employee that has absolutely no clue what to do or someone with a lot, or more often than not, a little bit of knowledge. The customer service rep lottery - a joy for everyone.Even without coffee I can give an analogy on this one - compared to , Walmart is the Bugatti of customer service. Enough said.

No pun intended, the battery life and/or power SUCKS. There are two settings, low or high. You can have about 7 minutes of vacuum life on high, about 13 minutes on low, but it doesn't work as well. I end up having to sweep the house into little piles and vacuuming them up so that I have enough battery life to vacuum the rug. Vacuuming carpet sucks more life out of the batteries. It takes hours to recharge as well. We have a 1,100 sq ft home, so it's really nice to pull it out here and there as opposed to a giant vacuum. However, the battery life is a drawback.

What an expensive vacuum this is. But, it's kind of worth it. It's small yet powerful. It picks up dirt that I would have never noticed. Even after i clean, it still manages to pick up more dirt from god knows where. My biggest complaints are that it has kind of terrible battery life on top of the fact that you cant use it while it's charging. So, if you battery is drained then tough luck. Have fun spending an hour for this to charge. My second complaint is that the swappable heads break a little too easily.

I bought this V8 Absolute for the 2016 Xmas season and simply love it. The cordless vacuum has great power and certainly lasts every bit of 35 minutes or more if you keep it on low power. I have absolutely no problem vacuuming the entire downstairs hardwood floors in the kitchen, outdoor entrance, dining room, living room, bathroom, and rug in the family room. On the hardwood side I also vacuum 7 throw rugs. Yes, I know that this vacuum is a little "pricey" but it's worth every penny. We have 2 sets of stairs to the upstairs bedrooms, and where the V8 Absolute comes in the handiness is its lightweight to do the stairs. My wife and I both find ourselves actually vacuuming our downstairs much more now than when we had to drag the heavy vacuum out to vacuum the whole house. The head on this cordless unit articulates very well and will fit easily under furniture and in other tight spots that the big could never get to.The hardwood drive head does a super job on bare floors...much better than the Animal upright that I also own. Very user friendly to change out the 2 drive heads and to dump the debris canister. Even though the price is a little prohibitive, if you have a lot of hardwood or bare floors, you'll never be sorry you bought this V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum. It has great suction and more than enough battery life to vacuum nearly 1,500 sq. ft. of floor + 2 separate stair cases.

I love this vacuum!!! - Make sure to drill it in to a stud so that it hangs securely. I also purchased extra pieces to be able to hang all accessories in the same place (This package does not come with enough space to hang ALL accessories only a few). Don't worry about the charging time unless you have a huge house. My house is 2,000+ Square feet and it is just fine. Being that whenever it is not in use it's hanging on the charger, I never yet had that the battery should run out while in middle of vacuuming. Overall, it is a great vacuum cleaner. And don't forget it is rated as the best in Consumer Reports.Update April 13, 2019Although this vacuum is great for day to day cleaning. This will not do a good job when doing a thorough cleaning in real dirty corners etc. As it is not powerful enough even on max (and max only works for 7 minutes) also hard to find a way to put it down for a sec while cleaning and no thin enough piece to go in thin corners. This will not be the ideal vacuum if you do "pesach" cleaning. For this reason I removed one star and rated it 4 star. Still keeping it since it's perfect for all year round basics.

I am very happy with this purchase. This has been the best vacuum I ever used. It's light, powerful, always ready to use...I can easily vacuum my house in a very short time. I did not give it five stars because it didn't come with a flexible hose. They don't even make one for this vacuum.I had to find one from a different seller. It uses an adapter and it's not very good quality. Disappointing. My only regret is that I brought it to soon. I bought it last January and paid $539. I searched everywhere and it was $599 where ever I looked. And I searched every possible place I could think of. All selling at $599.I really thought I made a good deal!But...If I had waited one year I could have saved over $200!Unbelievable...the price came down over $200!$200!!! when does that ever happen?? I would definitely buy this product again and highly recommend it.No regrets. Just one note:When you purchase, be sure to order your vacuum with attachments. Sometimes the price is lower because it's sold without the attachments. You will need them, so you probably won't save any money if you have to buy them separately.BRUMIL Modesto

Always wanted one of these. Just got ours yesterday. Works awesome. Two tips: 1. On Max mode, charge lasts 5-7 minutes! My first use was on max mode with hard surface motorized head. VERY short battery life. In the future, I will use it on standard mode. 2. The charge time is REALLY LONG from my perspective. 5 hours from no charge. That seems really long to me. Any other rechargeable device I have can be charged in an hour or less. needs to improve their charge time, OR offer replaceable battery packs. With today's battery and charging technologies, they seem to be lagging behind on battery/charging technology? Other than that detail, I would have given it a 5 star rating so far.

Its once pricey piece of machinery, but that said it is worth it by all the amount of time it saves. If your looking for a , I assume you already know the basics and know that suction is not going to be an issue. With this unit, the ease of use is pretty much the same as the older models. The portability of the V8 is where it really stands out from the previous models (I previously had a V6). In particular, definitely lasts longer than the older model and the include heads are really everything that one could need. While I have never really timed it to see if it was 40 minutes, but I can easily clean a one bed/one bath apartment at least twice and then some before needing a recharge - and this is with vacuuming a queen size bed mattress (with the included head) both times. So yes, the V8 in real world scenarios does last longer.
lalaloveme
First off, I was extremely surprised at how light the box was. I could easily carry tucked under one arm. The instructions were very easy to follow - click, click, click is accurate. It came 20% charged so I gave it a run through around the kitchen, living room and dining areas on max power. That took about 5 minutes on tile flooring and I could've still kept on but decided to charge it fully - keep in mind that was max power for 5 minutes at 20% charge. I was shocked at how full the canister was (which was very easy to empty). I went back and forth for several days between this and the ball Animal 2 - total clean (corded) vacuum. The absolute keep pulling me in and so far I'm very pleased. This item was not free or sent to me for a review - I bought this with my own money! Very hard decision but so far I'm happy I made it. I'll update my review in the future is my opinion changes.

I love this vacuum cleaner! It is powerful and quite. It does a great job on wood/tile floors as well as carpets. If I were going to make a design change I would put the release button to change the heads at the top of the wand.

I have had this vacuum for about 2 months and use it nearly every day, or at least 4 times a week, sometimes several times a day. With a toddler in the house there are constantly messes to be cleaned up. I love all of the attachments it comes with and use each frequently. I have the unit mounted on the wall in the cleaning closet. Battery life has been fine. The 7 minutes of strong suction is not a big deal. I only use that when something is really deeply ingrained in carpet, per se. The fact that this is cordless is the very best part. It is so easy to just grab and get the job done. No hauling a heavy vacuum over, untangling the cord, re-wrapping, etc. Another perk is that there is a carpet head and a hardwood head, which is saving my hardwoods from scratches. At first I was unsure of the trigger hold operation, but it's no big deal. It helps save battery because you let go when you are moving from room to room, etc. I don't know how I lived without it before... my house was not as squeaky clean, I guess! Buy!

We switched from a miele canister that had an engine failure probably due to lots of dog hair over the years. The Miele was great but heavy to move around. I'm very happy with this stick and find myself using it more often because its so easy to grab and just do a quick vaccuum, no plugging in and easy to carry upstairs. The suction is good and easy to clear when there is a clog. We made the mistake of using the high suction in the beginning and the battery life is terrible like that. There are a ton of attachments, more than I know what to do with. My only concern is how strong the plastic will be long term since there are a lot of parts to attach
miathemia
this vacuum is so easy to use, it does great job on the hard floors using the fluffy head attachment. I don't use any other ones. but first few days the plastic on that attachment cracked. it still works ok but makes me worried how long it will last? the stick is some kind of plastic material too, if you are not careful clicking the attachments in it could prob crack easily. I use the MAX power, standard mode doesn't do it for me. but I can vacuum entire kitchen, dining, little bathroom, laundry room, entry by garage and entry by main door and there is still juice left. I've never ran out. now if my whole house was hard floors,... not sure. Overall I'm happy, it makes it so easy to clean up everyday after kids carelessly sprinkle food all over the floor like that is their main purpose :-p We installed the holder in the pantry so it is out of sight and redid the switch into switch/plug combo. so convenient. always charged, always handy.

So far I'm pretty impressed with this little vacuum. It's so small and light for how powerful it is. We have a 1700 sq foot home with bamboo floors and area rugs throughout, so having the hardwood attachment is great. The battery life is good, not great, but it's accurate as advertised. I can get the whole house done on one charge, just make sure to charge between uses. The included mount is great. We were able to tuck ours away in a closet (had an outlet installed in the closet and then mounted it in there). The mount is easy to install, it took me about 5 minutes. It's basically two anchored screws. The dust trap is super easy to empty. Takes about 5 seconds, literally. It just dumps into a trash can and then you snap it back closed. I wish the container was a tiny bit bigger so I wouldn't have to dump so frequently (we have two cats and a dog), BUT I think they found a good balance between size/weight. I'm sure they thought about making it bigger and decided against it for a good reason. We've had the vacuum about two months and have used it maybe 10 times. So far, so good!

V8 Absolute Cord-Free VacuumI love this vacuum cleaner. I had a Animal for about 15 years and loved it. So when it finally died, I looked into the latest had to offer. I have 4 cats and live in a relatively small house with no carpet, so I looking for something different than my original which I bought for a larger mostly carpeted house. After reading the reviews on the V8, I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The soft roller cleaner?is the tool I use the most and it really works on my tile and hardwood floors. Cat hair, kitty litterit picks up everything! The other tools are very useful as well - there is one for carpet (which I use for large area runs), the usual corner and dusting attachments are nothing new, but work as expected. The Mini motorized tool is my second goto attachment and it is amazing and versatile. I mainly use it to clean the carpet on my kitty condos/climbing trees. The first time I used it I was absolutely blown away. It works MUCH better than expected. The animal had a similar tool with was OK, but this one really cleans. I use it to clean chairs, smaller rugs, and even blankets. I wouldn't recommend it for lighter blankets, but with practice and patience I was able to master cleaning my heaviest blanket - you can imagine how helpful that is with 4 cats. I really recommend this vacuum cleaner. The only down side is the short battery life, but that is given in the description so you know what you are getting into when ordering it. It is light and easy to use and charges relatively quickly. If you have a small house or apartment with mostly hard floors this is absolutely the vacuum for you. For larger carpeted places, this would also make a great second vacuum for small cleanup jobs and / or areas without carpet.

My third cordless - one for each floor and basement. Wish I'd waited longer to get the 2nd because battery life is finally improving on the V8. That's my only complaint: the V6/V7 don't last long enough on one charge to vacuum floors (wood/tile and area rugs) on a single floor. This one also comes w/ an extra motorized brush though I'm not yet sure which is for what purpose because they don't include any information on the attachments in the brochure that comes w/ the machine. I have a very good miele cannister vac, but rarely pull it out to assemble. I just refuse to lug heavy vacs up and down stairs; and swapping the numerous attachments is a cinch. I note that with the V8 they deleted one of the attachments that I never could get to serve any purpose (supposedly overhead?). I'm hoping that the redesign of the release to empty the bin will prove to be an improvement over earlier versions. Very pleased that they did NOT modify the mounting bracket as I needed to move one already installed on main floor to another location and didn't have to redrill/secure it anew. The old holes and screws worked fine.

So glad I invested in this product! I won't have another vacuum brand in my house after using this. The cordless feature is helpful and the vacuum is light enough to me to use for an extended period of time. I have only run the battery down one time while cleaning out my car when using it on max suction the entire time. If you leave this on the normal suction power it will definitely last the full 40 minutes of battery life which is long enough for me to get through the floors of my (single-story) home and going over the living room furniture. The turning radius is impressive! I can move this through a doorway with ease and it will suck up items that are all the way up against the baseboards. I can easily get under a table and around chairs. The attachments are great and I like having the variety for different tasks around the home. I do wish the charging station you mount on the wall had more room to store all the attachments. You can leave one attachment on the vacuum and then store two more on the wall mount. If there is a separate wall mount available, please tell me! Instead I have the additional attachments in a drawer and they are not used as often since they are not readily available like the others. Great at picking up pet hair, crumbs, dust - I hope that if I do the regular maintenance this will last a long time.

I am very satisfied with my purchase. The hard floor attachment is amazing and is ideal for hardwood or laminate floors. Works well on ceramic tile also. I like the charging cradle which holds your 2 most used tools and the click on attachments are more secure and easier to deal with than the former model attachments. The regular power mode is quiet and provides enough suction for most jobs while the max power mode is louder but I haven't had much need for this mode yet. We don't have any carpeting in our home, so I have not used some of the attachments yet made for carpeting, but based on my previous experience with the motorized heads, I am not concerned at all that it will do exactly what I expect. This vacuum is pricey, and I hope that it lasts. We have a 10 year old ball vacuum that is still going strong, but is heavy to lug up and down the stairs and I was unable to find a good attachment to handle hard floors. We had a couple of lesser priced models that worked well for only a year or 2 and died or started malfunctioning, which is why we bit the bullet and invested in another . The price is a bit high but I hope the investment will pay off. On another note, the styling of the upper motor enclosure s a bit excessive and unnecessary. For the price I was hoping for a more contemporary classy look instead of the boy racer face piston no purpose plastic housing. I do like the color contrast. Buy one you will not be disappointed.

Still confused why competitors haven't created a push vacume cordless. We got cordless snow blowers, cordless mowers, drills, saws, etc. But last to deploy on vacuum where it is needed most and without a doubt most annoying. That makes a lot of sense. It's suppose to be supply and demand, not stupidity and .. Dewalt DCV51H has right idea but it isn't push. That model is correct example of battery it should possess. It even let's you use larger batteries. Naturally this increases weight making it more difficult to handle, but at least you have options. I've owned this product over four months now and I definitely think it is worth it despite battery. You can easily resolve that issue by purchasing another one. Another great feature about this product, when push attachment utilized, it cleans hard to reach places well. Far better than competition.

Expectation is everything. If you want this vacuum for hard wood floors, it's exceptional! I love this better than my roomba. But I gave away my big vacuum thinking this one would be capable of really vacuuming all things and my thick rugs just don't get as clean. But it's soo sooo close to being perfect. Maybe just a few more lines of brush in the head and it could replace a stand up corded, but it just doesn't. I would buy this again because it's insanely quiet and is perfect for vacuuming pet hair off couches and even cars. Overall I love it, I just can't rely only on this. But if you live in a small apartment and don't have long hair rugs (medium to high pile) this thing may be all you need really!I love cleaning. I love vacuuming. I do love this vacuum and use it daily. I paired this with the wall organizer made by another company (Lanmu) for this product.

O Boy, this vac has my brain going. I did a few youtube videos about the V8 and V10 under my channel Wet Life Sports. I bought both this and the V10 Motorhead and will keep the V10 and return this one but I could be happy with either so if you can save money buying a V8 you'll be happy. They both work great but here are the list of things to keep in mind. First, you might buy it directly from because somehow , despite its muscle did not make offer the 3 FREE tools and I think offer 90 day returns and that is disappointing...Jeff?? I may return them both and buy from in protest...:) Anyway: V8 Absolute comes with the soft headed motor head as well but you might not need it because the standard motorhead does all surfaces, I did not need it, I have carpet and tile. The small motorhead is nice for cars or upholstery but you may not need it either if you have leather couches and the other small non motorized tools work well in the car. AWESOME units for the Car!! The dust bin works well, the battery life is good. The weight of handling of the units are great, the charger dock is good. I'm impressed with these vacs and think they are awesome. I have always had the Rainbow system with the water filtration and I still like that idea in terms of trapping dust in water so it NEVER flies in my face when emptying and I never smell musty vac exhaust but my allergies have been better in recent years so not as sensitive now, I just hold my breath when emptying but it hard when you see what you catch in these things!! Amazing amounts of dust and hair are trapped and I don't smell musty vac exhaust like you might on regular vacs. The Rainbows are a nightmare in terms of heavy, bulky, cumbersome pain in the Ars, with the cords, hoses, etc. so these s actually make vacuuming fun!! believe it or not. To make these units perfect Mr. needs to step up his game and forgo planned obsolescence and HAVE SWAPABLE BATTERY systems!! This is BS. The charger dock should have at least one additional spot to keep a spare battery charging and the unit should have a quick swap battery system like all other QUALILTY cordless systems!! My dream would be to have a system in which the motor/battery was in a belt pack worn on your lower back and then a flexible hose leading to the wand... and then a fast swap battery system in which I could throw in another fresh battery on the fly and keep "having fun"... in a perfect world...

I was at first put off by the high price. Tried a competing Bissell cordless model due to a "leading consumer magazine" stating it was almost as good as this . No way! The Bissell had little suction and was mainly a sweeper. Had to repeatedly go over same spot to get everything and was hard to pull back on certain rugs. So, returned the Bissell, ordered the V8. Wow, what a difference. The , using the soft roller power head would pick up anything in the first pass (within reason of course)... dog hair on rugs, small pea gravel, ficus leaves, etc. The pea gravel and ficus leaves even my full sized upright will not pick up due to the very low ground clearance many vacuums have. Best full sized canister vac is the top line Panasonic by the way, it will also pick up difficult things like leaves, etc. Anyway, the V8 is awesome. It is super quiet on normal setting, on high "turbo" power it is still much quieter than any full sized vac. I find the normal setting picks up everything fine and it will run almost a half hour that way (but only 7 minutes on turbo). The big differences in the V7 and the V8 are: (1) double battery life and (2) new much improved emptying method by pulling upwards on a housing trigger causing the entire interior of the dirt bin to be swept clean.... no more fishing out packed in hair or dirt with your fingers or a tool. Those 2 improvements alone justify upgrading from a V6 or V7. The only "con" is the small dirt bin, but this thing is so quick and easy to use you do quick cleanups more often and the bin capacity is not a problem. Even so, it is so easy to empty with absolutely no mess, it's not an issue to simply empty more than once. Note that if you want the great soft roller power head that picks up anything you MUST buy the V8 Ultimate to get that roller (available separately though). I also added an extra blue handle from to the top of the metal tube which I think adds much to the ease of use,??and now my little 6 year old niece wants to use it because the extra handle makes it very easy for her. Wife likes the added handle also.

As many reviewers mention, the battery life on this is quite charge, esp. if you use the high suction mode. However, this is NOT a vacuum you should use to vacuum your house. It's great for everyday maintenance. I use it every day in the high traffic areas of my home (kitchen, family room, hallway) to keep it clean. Love how light it is, and the suction is great. My only complaint, again is the battery life. The actual battery died and we weren't able to recharge it at all. I contacted and they replaced it, no questions asked.

I use this almost every day and now my home is clean all the time even though I have a dog and a cat. I have a central vac and a heavy duty upright but they are both a pain to get out and use so I used to vacuum rarely. The is handy, light, and easy to use and takes care of the frequently used rooms in 20 minutes. And does it ever get the dirt out! I haven't run down the battery yet. There is a tool for everything. Expensive but worth every dime.

It is expensive for a stick vacuum, but we did had a V6 before and we didn't like the fact we could not finish all the floors at one time. This V8 has all the tools you need and more. I am using a cane right now due to a fall, and I can vacuum with this as my cane/support. I love the hard floor tool as it is not as rough on the wood floors as the carpet attachment. On top of all that, I am so happy with the new emptying container - I no longer need to get a tooth brush to reach up inside the container to pull out the stuck hair and dirt. The container on this is self propelling and you just push down on the red handle and door opens and dirt etc. comes right out. PS: quieter too.

Allows me to sweep every room of our house (2900 sq. ft.), in 30 to 40 minutes, including stairs. We have four children 6 years old and under, so this has changed my life as far as sweeping the house goes. Does a magnificent job and lives up to every claim. You don't really ever need to use turbo mode, either. It does such a great job on "normal" power, it's unbelievable. So, don't worry about the fact that it only runs for 7 minutes on turbo power. I was worried about that, but it has not mattered in the least. Awesome sweeper! Will be a game changer for you, too! Thank you ; from a maxed out, stressed out, parent of four little ones (who make a tremendous mess, daily).

As a DC14 user for the past 10 years I was looking forward to upgrading to a cordless model. The price on the V10 is a little too high for me and I didn't like that you have to remove the extension tube to empty the bin so I went with the V8 Absolute. The Absolute model line was a must for me as my house is all hardwood with a few area rugs. The V8 cleans just as well as my corded DC14 and I can easily vacuum stairs and carry it around without breaking my back. It also makes vacuuming under beds a breeze. This is something I could not do with my corded . Battery life seems sufficient, I can clean my whole 3500 square foot house with charge to spare. My only complaint is the dust bin is a lot smaller than my older so it needs to be emptied more often. A small price to pay for the convenience of the V8 Absolute.

I love this vacuum. I have a Labrador Retriever who sheds quite a bit. It is so easy to use, that I don't mind using it every other day, especially since it's cordless. So much easier then dragging out a big vacuum for quick mid week clean ups. It also has a great attachment for furniture, that works very well on dog hair. This is my first bagless vacuum and it is wonderful to see all the dirt and fur it has picked up and super easy to empty. Definitely happy with this purchase.

My wife and I love our new . My wife had been in a wheelchair for 6+ months, so most of the cleaning was up to me. We just had new vinyl plank (dark colored) flooring installed and every crumb on the new flooring was immediately visible....and I had to clean it. Our existing canister vacuum worked great, but the beater bar is not recommended for this floor. I did the research and found the good ratings for the on .This machine is incredible. It hangs on the wall so it is really handy. When crumbs hit the floor we get the . My wife finds it very easy to use from her wheelchair. We have a retirement home in the Colorado Mountains. While there recently we found out how much we missed the , having instead to use a broom and dust pan.My wife and I argue over who gets to use the . It is a great source of humor for our home.We haven't used the at all on our carpeted bedrooms, as we still use the canister vacuum for that. I would buy it again. I would recommend it to friends. It is a little pricey, but worth every penny, plus with my credit card, we got 5% off the purchase price which helps.

Good continuous suction, light weight, easy to use and beautifully designed. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars is the new Hard Surface attachment. There are two tiny wheels on this attachment and it traps all kinds of dust/hair in it, and it is a PITA to remove, see picture, lower right corner. Apart from that, the new attachment works perfectly on hardwood and tile floor.

Best purchase ever in my adult life. My spouse and I hate vacuuming with a passion, yet with this vacuum we use it often! We even stopped using our Roombas as the V8 is so amazing. One pass and the carpet is so fluffy and clean. Most of the time we use it for little patches of carpet around the house whenever we feel like it's getting dirty. Sometimes I'll do an entire sweep of the apartment. The dirt release contraption is great - actually pushes out the dirt from the vacuum as advertised. We were also finally able to clean the corners and edges of the room using one of the attachments, which wasn't possible with our old vacuum. Was worried about battery life but even with maximum suction, it was more than enough to vacuum our entire 750sqft apartment with one charge. Mostly carpeted. It's because one pass with this vacuum is enough to clean! So amazing. Cannot say enough good things about this. Had I known it was this amazing I would have saved up for V8 instead of any other vacuum.

So, I'm a dude that likes good quality gear. I'm on a tight budget, so I just like things that work and deliver what they promise instead of buying several cheap options over the course of the year. This was purchased to replace our household V6 model. I only believe in battery operated drills to deliver the proper power, so I was a skeptic going into this purchase as I wasn't so impressed with the V6. Like all men should do, I listened to my wife and wound up buying the V8. It's honestly like night and day compared to the V6! I really like how delivered what they promised with this newer version. I can't imagine what the V10 is like. I recommend this bundle. The different heads for hard floor and carpet are no joke. I thought it was a gimmic, but again ??. The battery life is greatly compromised when using only full power, but does disclose that. So use the switch! I was shocked that we didn't even need to use full power mode that much anyway with this upgrade. Best of luck on your vacuum hunting, but I guess sticking with the engineering geniuses at is a lesson I now learned.

Ok, it has now been two weeks since I got this for my family and... I haven't used the Shark Navigator that we have. I think in the back of my mind I imagined myself vacuuming for hours and the 40 minutes of charge wouldn't make sense, but nope, we have a 1100 sqft house and a fully finished basement that gives you approximately 2200 sqft of space with lots of rugs! It has been a life saver, I also for the sake of astethics ran the cable through the wall and hit it when installing the charger mount, love it. Did I also mention that we have 2 kids below 3 years of age that make mayhem and mess all day? Yes. It works, I guess you pay for quality at some point in life.Only negative is that the wand is easily scratchable, I don't know if that is because of the paint material, or the actuall wand material or what not but it doesn't stay sleek and orange!I will write a review update in a few months with some updates and pictures.

The best vacuum I've ever used. The cordless nature means that getting out and putting away is 100% simple. It has changed the way that I think about housecleaning. With a corded vac, I would try and schedule several rooms or a floor at once because - frankly - the time spent in getting the vac out, unwrapping the cord, plugging it in - and then reversing the process at the end of the cleaning session - meant that it was a pain to use to just do a quick cleaning of the ever-crumby kitchen floor. Now, I just "grab and go," and because of this I often simply clean one or two rooms at a time. The suction is as good as my old Animal vac, but it weighs SO MUCH less that it's a joy to use.

I cannot say enough good things about this product. I don't say vacuum because not only has replaced my heavy cumbersome vacuum, but also my hand held vacuum for cleaning stairs, my hard floor vacuum, and even my broom! It is lightweight. The battery lasts. I don't have to mess with an annoying cord. It has excellent suction. It comes with every tool I need, including two brush tools for fabric, a narrow tool for crevices, a small rotating brush for stairs, and an extension tube and rotating brush and padded tube for carpet and hard floors. The final two angle beautifully to fit in and around corners. There is enough clearance to fit completely under my bed... my daughter noticed that it was "significantly less disgusting under there" (we have cats). The dirt cup empties easily and collects so much, you KNOW it's cleaning well. The filters and brushes are simple to disassemble, clean, and put back together. makes vacuuming... dare I say it? Fun. I vacuum more often, not because it's necessary, but it's so lightweight and easy to use. I love this thing. My husband asked if he should make a dinner reservation for me and my . I told him he was welcome to join us. ;)

Love that its not tied to an electrical cord so can easily move around the house. One charge can clean a 2 bedroom house easily. Used the power section on the rug and was so surprised at how much dust it picked up. Having a dog, I usually do spot vacuums where his hair collects into a fur ball. Having to lug the old vacuum used to be so cumbersome but with the , its easy to do the spot vacuums. Love how easy it is to change attachments, from short ones to long ones, like when theres a spider in the corner of the ceiling, just grab the , put on the long attachment, and bye bye spider!

I really really like my v8 absolute. I got it as a Black Friday sale, not sure I could justify regular price. I didn't think I'd need the soft roller brush, but I think it works better and quieter on my tile floor. When it's our month to clean the Church building we put the hard roller brush on it and it is so much easier to get between/around the pews than a vacuum with an extension cord. The battery is good....just make sure when you first receive it that it isn't set on max....I thought there might be something wrong with my vacuum. One thing I don't love is the non-motorized attachments.....I'm used to my full size attachments being more powerful. Another thing, the placement of the charging port in combination with the furniture attachment can cause static (?) and sometimes I get a "shock" when cleaning the couches. Nothing bad but this might be an issue for some. I do like the motorized furniture attachment though.I even use it to clean rice off the floor from my kids sensory bin.

This is an amazing vacuum! It's easy to carry, easy to change attachments, quick and easy to use, and does a great job on hard floors and carpet. We haven't taken out our Animal vacuum since we've had this one; it's much more convenient and just as effective. I can see where it might chaff your vacuuming hand on the area between your thumb and forefinger, as one reviewer claimed, but in that case I would recommend wearing a cotton work glove. That should solve the problem.Battery life has been terrific; I can vacuum the upstairs and our carpeted stairway (which this vacuum is great for) and the still has plenty in reserve. All in all, the best vacuum I've ever owned (and I've owned quite a few!). Get one, you won't regret it.

I bought the V8 Absolute mainly because of the soft roller head (and the V10 is really pricy) as I just had my hardwood floors refinished to a darker stain and even a little dust is now much more noticeable. In that application it does a very solid job (getting the dust up). The mini motorized tool is also a nice feature, it's really convenient for doing upholstery. I own several different cordless vacuums (a DC35 and a V6 motor-head) and this is definitely an improvement on the other two. Especially in the way the emptying mechanism works on this model by both opening the bottom and also lifting the cyclone section out of the top. You no longer get dust wedged up in the top of the bin. The only thing I wish it did have is a removable/interchangeable battery, but I knew going in that it didn't going in so I won't knock it for that. Will update if I have any issues.

We absolutely love this thing. Originally I bought this thinking we would use it to get the quick small messes. But it turns out we ended up giving away our other vacuum cleaner because the cleans so much better. I hope we get many years out of the battery. My only complaint is that the manual instructs us to clean the filter every week. But even after several months, the filter seems like new. Hardly a complaint, I know. Also, you have to be careful not to drop it on the floor. The plastics can and will break. Fortunately I was about to put it back together with replacing anything yet.

I bought this mostly for my new dark flooring which shows every single thing. I was sweeping multiple times a day and the hard floor head is great at getting up all the crumbs, cat litter, and dust. I admit I was nervous about battery life on high, and thought it would be useless for any real jobs since the high gives well less than 10 minutes of run time, but this thing really does a great job on low. I was able to vacuum up cat hair and other random fuzz off my black velvet couch in ONE pass with the pet tool on LOW!! So happy not to have to pull out my big vacuum for anything more than deep cleaning!
C. Barber
has really made quite a leap with this model. Although it's definitely not cheap, it's no wonder why Consumer Reports rated it the highest. It's quieter, has a wide array of tools for different surfaces, runs for longer, and empties easier. The newest tool for hard floors is amazing. For those with cats, the way this new tool cleans up tracked litter is incredible. With the previous tools the litter would just get kicked around instead of being sucked up but definitely not anymore. I had the V6 Motorhead before and cleaning out the waste canister was a pain, often I would have to try to stick things up inside to coax out cat hair and dust, the way this empties makes a world of difference and I no longer have to try to force things out. Definitely a must buy, even my cleaner was raving about it.

I can't believe I'm actually writing a review on a vacuum, however I run a B&B and this vacuum has actually improved my rating from a 4.8 star to 5 so I had to pay back directly for this. It allows me to clean all 3 floors in record time from hard wood to heavy carpet rugs with the same accessories. It also allows me to remove anything in cracks that seem to constantly be filled with random guest stuff. If you run the vacuum on the lower set point then it will last the entire time to clean a 5600 sqft home from top to bottom without a recharge.

I've owned this vacuum for a week and so far it is everything I've expected and more. I have tile floors with indented grout. My old vacuum didn't pick up the dog hair in the grout and sweeping wasn't very effective either. My dog sheds quit a bit, so I needed something to pick up the hair on hard floors as well as carpet. This vacuum does an amazing job. The suction works better than any vacuum I've owned before with the exception of a shop vac. My carpet is about 1/2 inch high and it cleaned it very well. The attachments are easy to switch between and I love that I can vacuum my baseboards from a standing position. I didn't time the battery life, but i had enough time to vacuum my entire 1800 sq ft house. It will be interesting to see how well the battery retains to charge a year from now. I will try and post back the results. As of now, I highly recommend this vacuum. The swivel heads make it easy to get to any corner and it's lightweight and easy to push across the floors. It's a little tougher to push through the carpet, but once you get going it is fine.
Amuro Ray
For a townhouse with multiple stairs/floors, the V8 is the only logical option for a vacuum. It provides portability with amazing suction power comparable to other full size vacuums in a much quieter package. The options and ability to switch functions in mere seconds makes this the best vacuum product on the market today. The only downside to this amazing product is the battery. Most users will utilize the motorized heads for carpeted/hard floors and the stairs/furniture miniature head, so despite a 40 minute run-time claim the more realistic figure is around 25 (which clearly puts in print, to their credit). The only downside is that the battery, which is mounted in the handle, is not user replaceable. The ability to swap out a battery would make this product perfect, as charge times from a completely depleted battery takes anywhere from 3.5 to 5 hours. If you've been a "select one day to vacuum the entire house" until now, you may need to switch to a divide and conquer method unless you are willing to wait between charges.

Pros and cons listed below if you want to read less. The cons listed below were not bad enough to reduce stars in my opinion. Will update if any problems come up.I bought this after some research and did not tell my wife because she most likely would have vetoed the $400 purchase.First off, I don't particularly like cleaning or dealing with a corded vacuum because of limited maneuverability and lack of consistency/efficiency on different surfaces. I THINK CLEANING SHOULD HAVE SOME ELEMENT OF FUN TO IT AND BE EASIER. I also wanted our two teenage boys to start doing other cleaning chores and this was my answer."Hey kids, the stick vac is here." My 12 year old was super excited and was the first to use it. He ended up vacuuming our family room area rug multiple times because of how much junk was sucked up and pretty much vacuumed our whole downstairs which has 2 area rugs and the rest is wood floor. He even used the small power head on our slip covered couch. I have used the vacuum many times now and love how easy it is to swap out attachments and maneuvere around obstacles. I would recommend this vacuum for anyone that has different types of flooring in the house.PROS:easy to usepowerfulno cord to mess withcan use with or without the extensionsmallish storage space needed, easy to swap out attachments that click/lock into placelarge power heads are very maneuverablevariety of attachments, easy to use on stairspower unit weighs just over 3.5 lbs and when the extension and a power head are added the weight is about 5.75 lbsCONS:priceneed wall space to mount docking stationneed a power source near docking stationdocking station only holds the vacuum(power unit with extension and one power head attached) and 2 out of the other 5 attachmentscan be a little awkward/heavy to use certain attachments for an extended time one handednot so easy to use in the car unless it's a quick cleaningbecause the attachments lock into the power unit, 3 of the 4 small attachments may be hard to use at certain anglesemptying the canister

I was not a fan of before I decided to get a V7 for trial. The build quality and performance of this vacuum is unbelievable. Now with seasonal discount (post Black Friday) I finally got the chance to pick up a V8 Absolute. I'm blown away by the extra power and all the additional accessories shipped with it. This is an absolute must and I am 200% recommending this product. Now the house will be even cleaner with V7 for the top floor and V8 for the rest of our house. ????

Excellent vacuum. Especially for homeowners who own muti-level houses. It's really light weight and easy to lift and carry up and down the stairs. I also recommend this vacuum for persons who suffer from back problems like myself and my husband. This vacuum is very ergonomically designed. Due its long extension, you avoid straining your back from constantly having to keep bending yourself as you're vacuuming. It's nice that wall attachment comes with the package. So you don't have to spend extra money buying the wall attachment unit.It also comes with two different attachment heads. One for using on carpet and one for using hard surfaces like tile etc. The vacuum is super powerful and does not spit back out any debris like our old vacuum. We hated having to constantly vacuum the same area over and over again because the vacuum would simply spit back out some of the debris. With this vacuum you only have go over any given area just once.Although it is a bit pricy, however this is a phenomenonal product and I would highly recommend the investment.

Love the power of the but the battery life could be better for the price. My house is about 1500sq feet and on a full charge it is almost empty when I am done but if I put it on MAX maybe it will let me do half of the house. Also you need to constantly hold them button on the handle for it to work. There is no on/off button which can get really annoying because your hand hurts from vacuuming the house. The floor attachment is only to pick up small things on the floor and it does a great job but thats it. It has trouble even picking up a bean from the floor which was a disappointment since I bought this is constantly vacuum the whole house. Sometimes for bigger trash I have to sweep which defeats the purpose of buying an expensive vacuum.
Debra K. Jones
We love it it is so convenient to just grab this cordless vacuum whenever there is a little bit of mess on the floor, and not have to drag out the big vacuum with the cord and plug it in. It has enough power to clean up little areas here and there with great suction but I would not use it to clean the whole upstairs floor because it would run out of charge. Think Dustbuster! That's how you use this thing! The only thing that could be improved upon is another battery that could pop in and out when one ran out of charge!
LKN
We just love our . It is perfect for our house. We mostly have hardwood floors with area rugs. We don't vacuum the whole house all at once, but just a few rooms at a time, so the charge is plenty long for us. The vacuum cleaner is light and because it is cordless, it is easy to maneuver around the furniture. The attachments are great for cleaning cat hair off the furniture. Highly recommend.
Michael Carroll
This vacuum cleaner is a lifesaver. We have three dogs who are heavy shedders. In the past before we purchased this we would have to pull the corded vacuum out of the closet and drag it all over the house to get the dog hair up. No longer. We now simply take it off of the charging rack and go to work. Because it's not corded it goes anywhere. Also because of the design it will go completely flat which means that we no longer have to move furniture to get underneath it. There is an attachment for rugs and another for smooth surfaces like wood or tile floors. Both work great and I am amazed every time that I use it how much dog hair and dirt this little vacuum sucks up. If I had to say one bad thing about this it would be the battery life. With it set to Max suction I can not vacuum every room in the house (2500 sq ft) on a single charge. It does re charge fairly quickly so there's that but it would be nice if the battery was a bit stronger. Other than that I love this vacuum and wouldn't trade it for anything else on the market. I may never use my corded vacuum again.
Mark
I like the fact it is so easy to grab and take care of a small mess. It beats dragging out the big floor vacuum for 1 minute of work. On high speed the battery does not last long but considering the size of the battery pack I see why. Cleaning up cob webs, stairs and vehicle (floor and cargo areas) are now fast and easy. I just wish they would have a removable battery pack like power tools do so you can change and keep going.
PSYCH R.N.
I paid a buttload of money for this thing and my expectations were much lower but this thing is by far the most functionable high quality user-friendly vacuum that's on the market. I only planned on doing the couple of bedrooms upstairs with it and hope to get other people using it since it was so convenient just to pick up and use but I've ended up doing the whole house with it all the time. If there's only one drawback it's that the battery life could be extended to run on the high mode for about 40 minutes even if it was heavier. This would be a great option for people who don't have issues with carrying something that weighs about 2 pounds more than this thing actually weighs.
JMS
After debating for months, and comparing tons of cheaper non- copies, we decided to go big and just buy the real thing. Sadly, we really like it.Convenience is what you are paying for. We have cats that leave bits of litter and hair everywhere. Hauling out a vacuum from the closet, undoing the cord, vacuuming, redoing the cord, and putting back in the closet - is a hassle. Broom and dust pan are not as thorough. With this, you just pull it off the wall, hit the mess, and put it back. Except usually you do a quick run over on the rest of the house since it's so quick and easy. End result is you keep your house cleaner overall. Instead of waiting for a big weekly cleaning, you are just cleaning as you live. You still need to bust out a full size vacuum on a occasion, but not as often. If you have hard floors, the extra attachment seems to do a better job, so I would say worth it. The mini-motorized tool is also great for getting hair off sofas. So far the charge last long enough to quickly hit the whole house.Yes it cost way more than it should and I'm ashamed to own it, but it really is a life changer.
Dino
it is working really great. enough to quickly clean a two bedroom apartment even using the max suction which eats the battery really fast. amazing how much stuff can this get from carpet..... the first one i got was a lemon, i feel like electricity shocking me in the handle.. i put some electrical tape all around and that solve the problem, so i returned, got the replacement, and problem solved.... no more need for tape.
Mathew
I like to think of this not as a vacuum cleaner, but a powered up dust buster (due to the detachable orange tube.) It has the suction to pull up most debris as the average household vacuum, but to maintain that power level, you'll only get 20 minutes of battery life. This is good for cleaning sessions in small bursts, but not recommended for an extensive household cleansing.

Love my !!! I waited for a company to come out with a good cordless vac. It took a while before I could purchase one. I went for the newest version and have enjoyed owning it and using it. No more fighting over whose turn it is to vacuum! It's my turnvirtually all the time! No cord is wonderful. The dust cup gets full fairly fast, but empties easily. I had to get an extra filter due to the high dust in my area. customer service was quick to answer my questions and gave me helpful information on how to get the most out of the vacuum.

This vacuum is amazing! We are stunned at how much dirt/dust/debris this lightweight, cordless vacuum collects in no time. It's also quieter than our old, big, heavy vacuum. This has made my 10-year-old daughter excited and eager to vacuum, where she never vacuumed before. She's actually asking if she can vacuum every day! While I was hesitant to invest, it's worth every penny now that I have a free maid that goes along with it, lol!

Surprisingly quiet, this vacuum does a great job, in a house with carpets, hardwood floors, and a large black lab.I view the short-ish battery life, on Max setting, as an opportunity. You got eight minutes? Pick an area of your world and start vacuuming! When the battery cuts out, consider it an achievement (supported by the crud you'll see in the canister). Repeat on a regular basis, and don't be consumed by the fact that you are not cleaning your whole house all at once. This is like exercise, but for your house/apartment.For the more patient, the normal setting runs plenty long and pulls up enough stuff so that you know you are making progress. Our large Animal Upright vacuum now sits idle, mostly because the V8 cordless is so much easier to move around, even though the full-sized vacuum is very maneuverable.

As I'm sure many people already joked about, this thing really sucks! It's quite powerful and versatile with all the attachments. Mounting it to a wall is easy. The battery lasts long enough for what I use it for. Maybe not long enough for a whole house but then get a non-stick vacuum. I use this for my 1br apartment and my car. Wow does this make keeping my car clean easy. I have black interior so every bit of dirt shows. With just 2 attachments, I can clean my floors and seats in 5 minutes

We like to work quickly in NYC! We grab and go - get all the dirt and dust with this thing! I can reach high to the vents in the bathrooms, reach in tight spots behind the beds and even my kids ask if they can use it to vacuum the dust they see! I held off buying one of these for a long time because it was just so expensive but it comes with a lot of attachments and does a good job so I see the value. Everyone in my home loves to use it. It's effective and that's what you want most. You want to look at the areas and see improvement and this give it to you in mere seconds.

I already own a corded vacuum and I absolutely love it but I was looking for a cordless since I vacuum everyday and have 2 toddlers constantly dropping crumbs. I did a lot of research and finally decided on this one. OH MY GOSH! It is amazing! I've never been this happy about a vacuum before. This lightweight vacuum is very versatile and the suction is awesome. There wasn't anything on my floor today that it couldn't handle. I use pine litter for the cat's litter box and it had no issues picking it up. I know the price on these can look intimidating but it's been totally worth it so far.

Bought this for our pregnant daughter. Two story house, with a cat and a dog.Picked up all the fur and easy to carry up stairs. Worked on bare floors as well as carpets and stairs. Made her job a lot easier. Only complaint I have is that battery drains quickly in full power using carpet tool, but found full power wasn't necessary to do the job well.Love cordless.
